Tannheim-Dinslaken-Madrid
my dad brouth me to Memmingen Airport, first time I depart from here with an airliner...
TUI-FLY, quick checkin, comfortable travel
packing for ferry, gotta wait a bit for better weather
Summertime is resting, and also preparing for a long flight
flying low, 30 kts headwind, little higher would have been 40 or 50 kts...windmills was turning pretty fast...
SPA, Formula-One-Ring, weather still ok
appx. 80 NM north of Dijon, still flyable
Landing in Semur-en-Auxois,
I had no time to take pictures here, happy to have a runway to land, 4NM before Dijon the clouds were on the ground, so no chance to land there, divert to here, LFGQ. First there was nobody at the airfield, I thought I have to go to the village to ask, but luckily a man showed up and gave me some fuel and put my plane in the hangar.
Staying here overnight, waiting for the front moving through, and hoping for better weather tomorrow morning.
Aviationfuel....no cheap at all...

End of day one, 01 dec 2007
DAY2 of Ferry

Departure in LFQG, appx 1000 in the morning, as I pushed the plane out of the hangar, it startet to rain again with low clouds, but there was enough wind to lift the clouds high enough to fly

15 min. after take off close to the Rhone Valley, the weather cleared up and the visibility was great, as you can see, deep breath, happy to be out of this frontal system :-)
btw Dijon and Montpellier somewhere, 35kts headwind, but perfect visibility, good fun!
approaching mediterian sea, just 5NM east of Montpellier, nice airfield for fueling, the only one in the area which is available for refueling this sunday... nice people, helpful and friendly
